FUTURE CRAVINGS x GARAGE STORIES

In collaboration with Future Cravings, Garage Stories, and Corpen Gin, we created a multi-sensory installationexploring sea pollution through the lens of the five ocean layers. Future Cravings, a climate action methodology, shaped our format — combining sound, visuals, materials, and storytelling to provoke new ways of thinking.

The audience entered a dark, immersive room, simulating the ocean’s deepest layer. Surrounded by floating plastics and biomaterials, their movement was guided by the space itself — disrupting bodily perception to awaken critical reflection. As participants moved upward through the ocean layers, the lighting shifted, and a narrator prompted physical and emotional engagement.

The final scene welcomed guests to a shared table experience: eating jello cakes from bio-material plates with blue mussel shell spoons, and sipping gin cocktails in shell glasses sponsored by Corpen Gin, a brand committed to reducing microplastics in oceans.

This moment of taste and conversation acted as both a pause and a provocation — asking: How do we relate to the materials that surround us?
